Kujoyama | Bookcase

It was during the 2020 Spring lockdown that Benjamin Graindorge resumed his project initiated at the villa Kujoyama a few years earlier. The tranquility of this French artistic establishment based in Mount Higashi in Kyoto provides all the ingredients to encourage creation with a link to Japan. From the first discovery of the Kujoyama bookcase, we find immediately this reassuring feeling of a controlled calm thanks to the severity of subtly dosed proportions between the different elements that compose it.

Material

‍MDF panelling in dark walnut veneer and black grooves / shelves and sides in black stained ash with lips in solid wood. Comes with a  wall fixing rail to prevent it from tipping.

Born 10th August 1980 Education 15th March 2006 - obtained diploma from E.N.S.C.I. with special mention for his diploma project.  September 2006 - Assistant to RADI DESIGNERS. - Development of domestic electrical appliances for Moulinex, - Development of small electrical appliances for Violet, - Design of a perfume bottle for Prada, - Creation of a lounge area for Nuit Blanche 2007. January 2007 - February 2007 - collaboration with Valérie Mréjen. - Project, 1% artistique for a school January 2007 - Collective exhibition, presentation of a light with the VIA at the Paris and Milan furniture fairs. February 2008 - Beginning of collaboration with Domeau & Pérès.
